Video Production Company in Charlotte Teams Up with Girls on the Run for a Series of Emotional Videos

I have to say…no, I need to say…no, I want to say what an incredible time we had at LEC Media on location with the Berewick Elementary Chapter of Girls on the Run®.  Absolutely amazing is how I will describe the experience we had over a couple of hours.

I should preface those comments with exactly what LEC Media is doing with and for Girls on the Run®.  Girls on the Run® is an incredible organization that operates an innovative, experiential program combining training for a 5k event with life-changing, confidence building lessons that enhance the physical and mental health of 8 – 12 year old girls.

Girls on the Run was founded here in Charlotte by Molly Barker, MSW, and four-time Hawaii Ironman triathlete founded Girls on the Run® in 1996. Combining her counseling and teaching expertise with research on adolescent issues, she developed and delivered the first curriculum with 13 girls here in Charlotte.

OK, now for what LEC Media is doing with our video production.  We are shooting and producing a series of videos ranging from 3-minutes to 45-seconds that will run on the new Girls on the Run® website that will debut early in 2012, plus the video will be shown at their annual meeting in January 2012.

So why are we amazed at LEC Media with Girls on the Run®?  Simply, they affect the lives of girls, women and men across the globe.  It took literally 15 minutes for us to get an emotional “slap in the face” as to the incredible program and power that founder Molly Barker has developed.  They literally affect several hundred thousand people across the globe…and that is growing exponentially as this movement spreads.

Corporate Video Production Company LEC Media in Charlotte Awards 2011 FastForward Recipient

LEC Media would like to announce that we have selected the recipient of our 2011 FastForward Video Program for a selected non-profit organization!  This year’s recipient is Sow Much Good, Inc.

Sow Much Good provides urban farming and work to give equal access to organic foods to urban areas that wouldn’t normally have access.  ”Our programming and community based initiatives are designed to provide equal access to organic food sources,” said Founder Robin Emmons.  ”We want to inspire individuals to take charge of the health of our bodies and our planet and to promote healthy lifestyles through food and nutrition.”

LEC Media will be producing a special video presentation that will inspire supporters who will gather in November for their annual fundraising event.

Charlotte Streaming Video Production for Business Meetings, Conferences and Trade Shows

was hired by the Nonprofit Technology Network (NTEN) out of Portland, OR, to produce, shoot and stream a nonprofit seminar held at the Mint Museum in Charlotte.  What?!

LEC Media is involved in all aspects of using video to communicate messages and tell stories.  Streaming video over the Internet during a “live” conference or presentation is a project that we really enjoy because it leverages technology that every business already has.  Users from across the country or globe can easily “log-in” to view and hear whatever is being produced and streamed over the Internet.  Easy!

For this particular event at the Mint Museum, LEC Media was hired to shoot and produce the video shots at the conference and then feed all of it in real-time through the Internet.  You can see a screen shot of what the conference “looked like” streaming live over the Internet here.  Notice the clarity and sharp images in the video.  This is happening for several reasons.  Number one, LEC Media only shoots and produces video with HD-quality cameras.  And second, we use the latest in Internet technology to capture, spool, compress and stream our video conferences for the best viewing quality possible.  The topic for this particular conference was on Cloud Computing and how Nonprofits can benefit from embracing new Cloud technologies for fundraising, donor communications, and overall agency growth.
